Who are we?
Destiny is a mentoring group that is looking to help girls 10th-12th grade become who they are destined to be. Our goal is to mentor girls of all different backgrounds become a prominent member of society. We will aid young ladies in their personal, educational, and professional development. In an effort to meet this goal, we will participate in various classes and community service projects. These include Health and Fitness, College Preparation, Etiquette and Social Skills, Political Awareness, Cultural Awareness, Public Service and Career Planning.
Since the program started in January 2014, Destiny Mentoring Program has done a school clean up, volunteered at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church, and ushered at the 8th Grade Honors & Awards Day Ceremony. Destiny has been sponsored by Birmingham Division of Youth Services, State Farm, Publix, TNT Graphics and Whitway Productions.
